Transmission

Description The 4000's Syncro-Range was modified from that used on the 4020, the reverse synchronizers were eliminated requiring the tractor to be stopped when shifting from forward to reverse. Shifts between the two forward gears in each of the shift stations are synchronized. / Power Shift transmission available as an option on the John Deere 4000 starting in 1971.
